Shipping & Boat Charter
IDC co-owns and operates the vessel Enterprise II, the workhorse of the outer islands. It also charters vessels to give greater range of options.
IDC Shipping Department operates the most comprehensive, dynamic and wide-ranging vessel chartering service in Seychelles. The shore office is managed by our Logistics Manager and almost entirely manned by a professional Seychellois crew.
Enterprise II: lifeline of the outer islands
Enterprise II is the main vessel providing a sea link to the outer islands, sailing on a regular basis and completing a circuit of the islands to deliver fuel, construction materials, equipment and essential provisions. The 350-ton vessel transports most of the outer island cargo to islands managed by IDC.
The company also serves third party clients, notably the luxury resorts on the outer islands and the Seychelles Island Foundation, managers of Aldabra.

Enterprise II: Import and export
Enterprise II returns some of the products of the outer islands to Mahé, including copra, coconut oil, charcoal and agricultural products for the domestic market.
Copra was the main product of the outer islands when IDC was formed, but today, the tourism industry has risen to prominence with IDC providing goods and services to the outer islands.
