Farewell Claus, Hello Andre…

A reception has been held at Hilton Seychelles Northolme Hotel to say farewell to Claus Steiner, who is leaving Seychelles to take up a new role within Hilton Worldwide. Claus has headed up Hilton operations in Seychelles including at Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa. He has also been an active member of Silhouette Foundation, responsible for conservation activities on the island.

At the same event, there was a warm welcome given to  Gregory Thierion, who will be heading the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and the DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Allamanda Resort & Spa, and Andre Borg, the new GM for Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa. ​​Andre will replace Claus on Silhouette Foundation. Other trustee members attending the event included Eddy Belle, Chairman of Silhouette Foundation and Adrian Skerrett, Chairman of Island Conservation Society. Guests of honour included Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange, Minister for Social Affairs, Community Development and Sports Vincent Meriton and tourism Principal Secretary Anne Lafortune, together with members of Seychelles business community. Minister St Ange congratulated Mr Steiner on his achievements over the last few years as a true partner for the Seychelles tourism industry. Mr Steiner said: “It has been a great pleasure to discover Seychelles, one of the last paradises on Earth and to be able to lead three extraordinary resorts, each unique and successful in its own right. It is now time to welcome the new leaders to take the helm at Hilton Seychelles hotels to take them to the next level.”
